Beginner's Guide: Your First 7 Days in Whiteout Survival

The first week is when new players make the most avoidable mistakes, because everything is unlocking at once and it's not obvious yet what matters. Here's a clearer priority order.

Day 1-2: fundamentals only

Don't spread yourself thin. Focus purely on the tutorial chain, your first few building upgrades, and joining an alliance โ€” an active alliance from day one gives you gift codes, help-speedups, and protection that solo play doesn't.

Follow the quest chain, don't wander off it

The main quest line is deliberately paced to teach you the systems in the right order. Chasing side content before the quest chain reaches it usually wastes resources you'll need more urgently a few days later.

What to ignore early on

  • Don't obsess over hero rarity yet โ€” your generation 1 heroes are enough for the first couple weeks.
  • Don't hoard speedups "for a big moment later" โ€” use them on your current queue.
  • Don't worry about PvP or rally defense in week one โ€” you're not a meaningful target yet, and won't be for a while.

What actually matters

  • Keep every building queue and every research slot occupied โ€” idle queues are pure wasted time.
  • Claim every daily login and event reward โ€” these add up faster than anything else in week one.
  • Ask your alliance questions directly โ€” a five-second answer from a veteran player saves you from a costly guess.

Setting up for week two

By the end of week one, you should have a functioning alliance, an uninterrupted build/research queue, and a rough sense of your account's Furnace level trajectory. That's a much stronger foundation than rushing any single system early. From here, our Furnace & Base Progression guide covers exactly where to focus next.
