Third-party FrostStars top-up sites aren't all the same, and the difference between a safe one and a dangerous one usually comes down to a handful of concrete things you can check in under a minute.
The single biggest red flag: password requests
No legitimate top-up service ever needs your Whiteout Survival password. Delivery only requires your public in-game UID โ the same number you'd give a friend so they can visit your base. Any site asking for your login credentials "to deliver the order" is asking for full account access, not just a top-up, and that's a completely different โ and much riskier โ thing to hand over. If a store's checkout flow includes a password field, stop there.
Price versus plausibility
A discount that's meaningfully steeper than every other store's is a signal, not a bargain. Genuine top-up stores are all buying from broadly similar supply channels, so if one price looks impossible compared to the rest of the market, assume it either won't actually deliver, or it's recovering the "discount" some other way โ most often by using stolen payment methods, which can get the order โ and your account โ flagged or reversed later.
What a real refund policy looks like
Look for a specific, plainly-stated policy โ full refund if delivery fails, no refund once delivered โ rather than vague language or no policy at all. Read ours at Refund Policy as an example of what a policy with actual teeth looks like: a concrete guarantee, not a marketing line.
Delivery method matters
Two very different delivery models exist in this space:
- UID-only delivery: you give a public ID number, the store's system credits your account directly through the game's own top-up channel. This is the safe model โ it's how FrostStars delivers every order.
- Login-and-deliver: the store asks for your account credentials and logs in "on your behalf" to apply the purchase manually. This model exists on some competitor sites and hands a stranger your entire account, not just a transaction โ we deliberately do not use it.
Payment method checks
Prefer stores that support recognizable payment processors (card networks, PayPal, established crypto payment gateways) over ones that only take irreversible, hard-to-trace payment methods. If a store's only accepted payment is a gift card code sent to a stranger, that is not a top-up store โ that's a common scam pattern independent of what game it's selling for.
A short checklist before you check out anywhere
- Does checkout ever ask for your password? If yes, leave.
- Is the price meaningfully below every competitor for the same package? If yes, be skeptical.
- Is there a specific, readable refund policy? If no, be cautious.
- Does the site show real order history, reviews, or support channels, not just a payment form? If no, be cautious.
None of this is specific to FrostStars โ it's the same checklist we'd want you to run against us, too.
