Combat reports are one of the most underused sources of genuinely useful information in the game โ most players glance at win or loss and move on, missing the details that would help them improve.
Losses are more informative than wins
A clear win doesn't tell you much beyond "that worked" โ a loss or a narrow win tells you specifically where your setup fell short: insufficient healing, wrong troop composition, an underleveled hero. Spend more attention reviewing reports from fights that didn't go smoothly.
Compare troop losses to enemy losses
The ratio of your troop losses to the enemy's is often more informative than the win/loss result alone โ a "win" with disproportionate losses on your side is a warning sign worth investigating, not just a result to move past.
Track patterns over multiple reports, not just one
A single combat report can be misleading due to randomness or a specific unlucky matchup โ looking at a pattern across several similar engagements gives a much more reliable picture of what's actually working or not in your setup.
Use reports to guide your next upgrade
Rather than upgrading gear, heroes, or research based on a general sense of "everything needs to be better," combat reports can point you toward the specific gap โ insufficient defense, low healing capacity, a weak troop tier โ that's actually costing you the most.
